Costume Designer Role- Requirments

Study script to understand costume requirements in terms of setting, era and character attributes
Develop costume plots for characters
Create preliminary sketches of costumes and present them for approval

Produce the final designs with fabrics, styles and colors
Work with costume makers to materialize sketches

Hire or buy ready costumes when necessary Ensure costumes stay within budget Supervise fittings and rehearsals
Assume responsibility of returning, storing or disposing used costumes after filming

Synopsis:

“The basic logistics are - 2 main cast members, a 20 something couple living in a residential location - exact location TBC. 1 SA.

It's a dark comedy, with some violence involved. A "woke" couple haunted by their privilege struggle to find coherence between their actions and their beliefs; while one is consumed by a martyr-like death drive, the other starves herself as a means for atonement. It is not until they allow their neighbor--whom they consider a minor nuisance--to die, that they are able to embrace their hypocrisy.”
